While it would be too much to say Jobard flies ‘under the radar’, we will say that the word isn’t completely out. Compared to the few Meursault producers at this level, Jobard’s wines still represent serious value.
Antoine’s father, Francis, made subtle, restrained wines. While they lasted forever, they lacked a certain thrill factor. Antoine has changed that. His wines are full-flavored head-turners. They’re still structured and capable of extensive aging, but they now show rich fruit and complexity when young as well.
