Chanterêves, Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Beaune Blanc 'Mainbey' 2022

Chanterêves comes from Tomoko Kuriyama and Guillaume Bott, who each previously worked at a series of iconic wineries (Guillaume was the winemaker at Simon Bize for 20 years). The Savigny-based duo are the rare domaine that appeals equally to Burgundy collectors and fans of natural wine. With the purchase of their own vineyards in 2020, and Guillaume leaving Bize to focus solely on Chanterêves in 2022, the excitement level around these wines has never been higher.

They make this White Burgundy from a high-altitude parcel of limestone. Like all of their whites, it’s smoky, sharp, and richly textured. Simultaneously wiry and easy-drinking as well as nuanced and full of detail.
