Colombera & Garella, Bramaterra 'Cascina Cottignano' 2017

Cristiano Garella makes this nebbiolo from the cool hills of Bramaterra, a couple hours drive north of Barolo. It’s more floral and immediately refreshing than the wines of Barolo and Barbaresco but still substantial in the way you want your Italian red wine to be.

Tastes like: Wild strawberry, roses, leather.
How to drink: Light enough for Margherita pizza, rich enough for chicken scarpariello.
