Domaine de Cassiopée, Maranges Rouge 'Le Saugeot' 2022

Before launching Cassiopée in 2020, Hugo Mathurin and Talloulah Dubourg worked at some of Burgundy's most renowned domaines: Mugnier, Clos de Tart, Roulot, and Benjamin Leroux. Understandably, their wines came with big expectations. Three vintages in, it's safe to say that they've more than lived up to them.

Cassiopée is based in Maranges, a village currently gaining serious steam in Burgundy circles thanks to the emergence of undervalued reds like this. ‘Le Saugeot’ showcases Maranges’ earthiness and grip, with Cassiopée’s light-hand giving it delicacy and attractive floral notes.
