Domaine du Carrou, Sancerre 'La Jouline' 2022

Dominique Roger is one of the greatest winemakers in Sancerre. Dominique’s family has been making wine in the village of Bué for centuries, and his high-elevation vineyards are some of the best in the region. At Domaine du Carrou, he hard-harvests those organic plots to make precise, deeply textured wines that remind us of top-class Chablis.

A lot of Sancerre is pretty straightforward, and to be honest, it can get boring after a while. Dominique’s ‘La Jouline’ is a changeup. Its old vines and touch of oak give it more weight and richness than the other wines in this lineup.
