Domaine du Séminaire, Côtes du Rhône 2021

Rich but not oaky, juicy but not jammy, and dark but not heavy, Côtes du Rhône is the quintessential crowd-pleasing wine. This organic version from Hervé Pouizin and his wife, Mathilde, is a case in point. The grenache-dominant blend comes from cool, northerly vineyards, which leads to a particularly bright and peppery wine.

Tastes like: Wild blueberries, white pepper, lavender.

How to drink: Ideally served slightly chilled with pepperoni pizza, but it also works with ribs or skirt steak.
