Domaine Ogereau has been around for more than a century, but it only landed on our radar in the last few years. That’s thanks to 33-year-old Emmanuel Ogereau, who makes precise and vibrant natural wines in Anjou. If you’re a fan of Thibaud Boudignon or Domaine Belargus, then Ogereau’s mineral-driven chenin and fresh, peppery cab franc will be right up your alley.
From a famed slope in the village of Quarts de Chaume, this chenin is savory and full-bodied, but still fresh and mineral-driven. This has quite a bit of complexity, which is on full display after a quick decanting.
