Domaine Ogereau has been around for more than a century, but it only landed on our radar in the last few years. That’s thanks to 33-year-old Emmanuel Ogereau, who makes precise and vibrant natural wines in Anjou. If you’re a fan of Thibaud Boudignon or Domaine Belargus, then Ogereau’s mineral-driven chenin and fresh, peppery cab franc will be right up your alley.
Emmanuel harvests this plot of chenin before all of his others. That, combined with its location at the highest elevation in Savennieres, leads to a particularly bright and salty wine.
