Domaine Trapet Père et Fils, Bourgogne Rouge 2020

The 7th-generation winemaking family has left its mark on Gevrey in a number of ways, but the most important thing to know is that its wines have never been better. Now helmed by Jean-Louis Trapet, the house style has moved away from extraction and oak, favoring elegance and freshness instead.

Like all Trapet wines, this is made with pinot noir farmed organically and biodynamically. The Bourgogne Rouge is made from young vines in Gevrey-Chambertin, yielding a bright, earthy wine that offers fantastic value for the price.
