The 7th-generation winemaking family has left its mark on Gevrey in a number of ways, but the most important thing to know is that its wines have never been better. Now helmed by Jean-Louis Trapet, the house style has moved away from extraction and oak, favoring elegance and freshness instead.
Trapet showcases the power and weight inherent to Gevrey-Chambertin without amplifying it with excessive oak or ripening. Some of the grapes in this wine come from 100+ year-old vines.
