Domaine Trapet Père et Fils, Gevrey-Chambertin 'Ostrea' 2020
The 7th-generation winemaking family has left its mark on Gevrey in a number of ways, but the most important thing to know is that its wines have never been better. Now helmed by Jean-Louis Trapet, the house style has moved away from extraction and oak, favoring elegance and freshness instead.
From a plot of particularly old vines in Gevrey-Chambertin, this is darker, spicier, and more concentrated than the wines highlighted above.
