‘Albahra’ comes from an obscure place - Almansa in southern Spain - and even more obscure grapes - garnacha tintorera and the nearly extinct, moravia agria. But for how esoteric it sounds, it’s a crowd pleaser. ‘Albahra’ is a bright, savory, refreshing red that you should drink lightly chilled throughout the Fall. In the event that you haven’t opened it by then, it’d be an ideal Thanksgiving wine as well.
