A volcanic island chain 700 miles from mainland Spain, the Canary Islands are remote. This red wine illustrates that better than any other. It comes from a range of indigenous grapes, which grow untrained (wildly on the ground) on a super steep slope on vines up to 300 years old. The result? A peppery, minerally red that’s the most concentrated wine in the lineup.
