After spending the ‘90s working in forestry in Quebec, Frantz Saumon returned home to make wine in the Loire Valley. The chenin blanc for his ‘Le Chapitre’ bottling is grown across the river from Vouvray. It’s powerful and aromatic, yet refreshing and mineral-driven. In other words, it’s exactly what great Loire chenin should be.
