G.B. Burlotto, Barbera d'Alba 'Aves' 2021

G.B. Burlotto is a Barolo legend. Their single-vineyard bottlings, led by ‘Monvigliero’, are some of Italy’s very best wines. And as you’d imagine, they’re also among the most expensive. Lesser known, but offering arguably more value for the money, are Burlotto’s wines meant for everyday enjoyment. Made from grapes like barbera, dolcetto, and even sauvignon blanc, these are wines we’d open every night, if not for the fact that we only receive tiny quantities each year.

Fresh, floral, and a bit spicy, this has everything you’d look for in barbera, along with finesse and precision unique to the best producers. ‘Aves’ is only made in excellent vintages, and has added richness and depth.
