Dominique Lafon is on a very short list of the world’s greatest winemakers, which has long been evident to anyone who has tried his legendary whites at Domaine des Comtes Lafon. As if running things at Comtes Lafon wasn’t enough to have on his plate, Dominique also makes wine in the south of Burgundy under the Héritiers label. Like at his iconic domaine in Meursault, all farming here in the Mâconnais is biodynamic, and the wines are similarly rich, powerful, and precise.
Tastes like: Meyer lemon, pear, smoke, and vanilla.
How to drink: Lightly chilled with rich seafood dishes or roast chicken with morels.
