Locals call Jacques Puffeney's “the Pope of Arbois”, and if ‘Natural wine’ had a church, Puffeney would no doubt be its head. The reds are light and earthy and made with pinot noir as well as poulsard and trousseau– two grapes unique to the area.
Puffeney’s trousseau is light but still structured and tastes more like forest floor, pine, and fur than sweet fruit. If you have good memories of camping, you’ll likely find this wine nostalgic.
