Joiseph, Grüner Veltliner 'Fogosch' 2021

Joiseph doesn’t produce a lot of wine, and its reputation in Austria has grown to the point that all of it - every last bottle - would be bought up by fellow winemakers if the folks at Joiseph were so inclined. Fortunately, they take a more inclusive approach. Like all of their wines, this grüner is lithe and electric, a perfect example of how compelling this grape can be when made with a light touch.

Tastes like: Ripe pear, white pepper, tarragon, salt.

How to drink: Chilled with sushi, crudo, or grilled veggies.
