There are a lot of impressive family trees in the world of wine. However, few compare to the Corsini family, which has nine centuries of history in Tuscany, including an ancestor who was pope, another who was a saint, and another who commissioned the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Over most of that timespan, they’ve been making wine at Villa Le Corti. Today, Duccio Corsini crafts this fresh, elegant take on Chianti from organic sangiovese a few miles outside of Florence.
Tastes like: Red plum, violets, cracked black pepper.
How to drink: Pair with eggplant parm, spaghetti pomodoro, or really anything with red sauce.
