The largest and southernmost cru in Beaujolais, Brouilly is an ideal bridge between the region’s easy-drinking reds and the deeply savory wines from villages a bit further north. This bottle from Sebastien Congretel illustrates that perfectly. After working under Beaujolais' rising-star Julien Sunier, Sebastien ventured out on his own and launched L'Epicurieux. He makes this organic bottling with no added sulfur, leading to a vibrant and refreshing red.
Tastes like: Wild raspberry, smoke, vanilla.
How to drink: Chilled with grilled chicken and sausages, or a picnic spread in the park.
