There are wines made from old vines, there are wines made from really old vines, old vines, and then there’s this verdejo. In the mountains of central Spain, Ismael Gozalo farms 140 year-old, pre-phylloxera vines to make a natural white wine that’s rich and concentrated yet still bright and a bit salty.
Tastes like: Pineapple, lime zest, salted almonds.
How to Drink: Put it in the fridge for an hour, and then pair it with grilled fish or roast chicken.
