While the Northern Rhone is best known for syrah-based reds, it’s also home to some of the world’s great rich white wines. This one comes from Saint-Joseph, where Jean-Pierre Monier and Phillipe Perreol blend viognier and roussanne to make a textured, floral wine that’s a nice alternative to White Burgundy.

Tastes like: Apricot, pear, almond, smoke.

How to Drink: Not too cold, alongside rich seafood dishes or cured meats and cheese.
