On high-altitude vineyards in the Douro Valley, Dirk Niepoort makes what is arguably Portugal's greatest white wine. He uses obscure local grape varieties like rabigato and códega do larinho, which grow on vines close to a century-old. The resulting wine is rich, ripe, and toasty, a fantastic value-alternative to serious White Burgundy.
