In the warm region of Pfalz near the French border, Jonas Seckinger is producing some of our favorite dry riesling in Germany today. Jonas farms biodynamically and bottles without filtration, often playing around with small touches of oxidative winemaking and extended lees aging. The resulting wines, like this single-vineyard bottling, are mineral and pure yet nuanced and savory.
Tastes like: Pear, salted melon, biscuit, fennel.
How to drink: Chilled with oysters, crudo, or on its own.
