Szepsy Hun, Tokaji Dry Furmint 2020

Catherine the Great of Russia liked Tokaji wine so much that she kept a permanent detachment of her Cossack guard in Tokaj to protect royal shipments. The wine Catherine enjoyed was a dessert wine, Tokaji’s most well-known export. This wine from István Szepsy, however, is totally dry. It’s full and textured, with acidity and minerality keeping it fresh.

Tastes like: Nectarine, ginger, smoke.

How to drink: Not too cold with pork chops or baked salmon.
