Thibaud Boudignon, Savennières 'Clos de la Hutte' 2021

Savennières is a village in the Loire that gets a lot of sunshine. As a result, it yields a particularly ripe and rich expression of chenin blanc. Boudignon’s is weighty and palate-coating but still focused and totally dry.

Here's what you should know about it:
  • Savennieres is a steep, sun-drenched area in the Loire. Boudignon is based here.
  • If you see Savennieres on a label, it’s 100% chenin blanc.
  • ‘Clos de La Hutte’ is a tiny vineyard in the backyard of an abandoned monastery. It’s down the road from Nicolas Joly’s Coulée de Serrant.
