In 2011, Cindy and Bill Wenzlau acquired a rugged, foggy plot of land in Santa Barbara on the banks of the Santa Ynez River. Working with Justin Willett (Tyler Wines), they utilized the area’s cool, marine-accented climate to produce earthy, restrained examples of pinot noir and chardonnay. This white - originally crisp and mineral-driven - has taken on more savory, nutty flavors with age.
Tastes like: Pear, roasted hazelnuts, honeysuckle, ocean breeze.
How to drink: Not too cold alongside rich seafood dishes or salty cheeses.
