After a run of hot and sunny vintages, 2021 was a relatively cool one in Beaujolais, yielding bright and vibrant wines. Even in tough years, Château Thivin - the best producer in the Côte de Brouilly - is able to produce balanced wines. But in a vintage like 2021, Thivin turned out an exceptionally fresh red with all of the depth and mineral-intensity that this hill-top cru in Beaujolais is known for.
Tastes like: Raspberry, smoke, mushrooms, roses.
How to drink: Lightly chilled with burgers and grilled portobello mushrooms.
