At Domaine de Montrieux, a small natural winery in an obscure, northerly town in the Loire Valley, Ariane Lesné makes vibrant, food-friendly wines from local grape varieties. This light, herbal red is made from pineau d'Aunis, which yields a wine that tastes like a particularly peppery, tangy version of Beaujolais. It's an ideal chilled red.
