Gérard Boulay’s family has been growing grapes in the village of Chavignol since 1380, and today, he organically farms old vines on Sancerre’s most renowned vineyards. While best known for his whites, Gérard also makes small quantities of red wine and even smaller quantities of rosé. He crafts this floral, herbal, mineral-focused rosé with pinot noir from steep hillsides in front of his home in Chavignol.
Tastes like: Strawberry, roses, mint, smoke.
How to drink: Chilled with cheeses and charcuterie, or seafood and veggie kabobs.
