Sables Verts didn’t cross our radar thanks to a famous family legacy or some wild CV naming every domaine in Burgundy. We simply tasted their wines, and immediately realized they were onto something special. Launched in 2019 by the young husband-and-wife team of Caroline Meurée and Hervé Maligne, Sables Verts is making some seriously exciting cabernet franc and chenin blanc in the Loire Valley.

The majority of Sables Verts’ production is red, but if you’re a fan of richly textured Loire chenin, this single-vineyard bottling will be right up your alley.
