After working under Christophe Roumier in Chambolle-Musigny, as well as wineries in all 10 ‘Crus’ of Beaujolais, Julien Sunier began making natural Beaujolais under his own label. In Régnie, he’s at the forefront of a wave of young growers producing fresh reds that speak to exactly where they’re from. This bottling is spicy and elegant, with lots of aromatic intensity packed into a light-bodied frame.
Tastes like: Raspberry, peach, white pepper, lily.
How to drink: Chilled grilled pork chops, BBQ chicken, or Peking duck.
