Padelletti, Rosso di Montalcino 2022

The Padellettis are one of the oldest families in Montalcino, and with winemaking roots dating back to the 1500s, it may not come as a surprise to hear that they are staunch traditionalists in terms of style. From a single block of organic sangiovese on Montalcino’s famed hill, they make Brunello, as well as this Rosso. It comes from younger vines than the Brunello and isn’t aged as long before release, leading to a fresh, powerfully aromatic red that’s meant to be enjoyed young. 

Tastes like: Red cherry, roses, dried herbs, tobacco.

How to drink: With pasta in red sauce, pizza, or cured meats.
