Domaine Fourrier, Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2024 (Pre-Sale Arriving August)

Fourrier is one of the great red wine producers in all of Burgundy. From an unparalleled catalog of old vines in Gevrey-Chambertin, Jean-Marie Fourrier makes wines that are beautifully fruited, silky, and perfumed. They also drink well young, as this new release from Fourrier’s hometown puts on full display. While Fourrier is always allocated, the drastically reduced yields of 2024 mean that these are scarcer than ever.

Here's what you should know about it:
  • Over the last 30 years, Jean-Marie Fourrier has established his family estate as a benchmark for Gevrey-Chambertin and Red Burgundy as a whole.
  • Fourrier farms remarkably old vines (‘vieilles vignes’) in Gevrey-Chambertin. This wine is made from vines planted between the 1920s and 1950s.
  • Juicy, mineral, and aromatic, this offers an ideal snapshot of the classic Fourrier style.
